FRANCHISE EXCELLENCE AWARDS – Rewarding The Best In Franchising

The Franchise Excellence Awards logo comprises of four units of the alphabet "F" encircle by the name of the Awards. The four units of "F" are placed in two sets of two. "F" interlocking each other, thereby symbolising the outward-oriented expansion of businesses through franchising. The interlocking action also signifies a handshake in a mutually beneficial strategic business partnership.

The outer circle of words surrounding these four "F" represents the gracing of franchise businesses towards global expansion. The Awards will aim to showcase Singapore’s franchising capabilities to an international audience and thereby serve to anchor Singapore as an international franchise hub in Asia-Pacific.

The colours of blue and gold in the logo symbolise a mark of distinction.

The global business environment has been enchanced by technological advancements. Distances between countries and markets have been increasingly shortened by improvements in international communications and transportation, moving the world closer and closer towards an integrated global economy. Global citizens are more well-travelled and consequently more receptive to ideas and concepts from all over the world. This receptivity, together with the reduction of trade barriers internationally, provides the potential from companies with variable business concepts to expand these concepts globally.

Franchising offers a business strategy for such companies to fulfill their potential. The combination of the franchisor’s estabilished business system and experience and the franchisee’s local market knowledge and resources, makes franchising a win-win solution to both parties’ constraints in resources. However, one of the foundations to successful franchising is a strong business and support system. Hence, it is important for franchise companies to strive for excellence in their franchise systems.

Launched in 1997, the objective of the Franchise Excellence Awards is to accord recognition to outstanding franchisors and regional master franchisees based in Singapore. The Awards would provide a platform to showcase the successful franchise operating from Singapore, and thus facilitating further development of franchise companies in both the domestic and international markets. This would serve to anchor Singapore as an international franchise hub in Asia-Pacific.

There are 4 categories of Awards.
